Back to school, back to soccer and back to Outreach and Resources ministry at church...life is just flying by, but I have managed to bring my camera along for the ride...here's what's been going on in August:
| Josh and Jon on the first day of school. 4th and 7th grade |
There was an awards assembly for a small group of students at Jonathan's school who performed exceptionally well on the State Standardized PASS tests last year. Jonathan received a medalion for achieving a perfect score on the Mathematics portion. He will also be recognized at the school board meeting on Sept. 8. So proud of my Jonathan!

| I didn't tell him that the school had called me and asked me to attend the awards day. He was so surprised to see me sitting in the assembly! |
| A new era of soccer had begun in our home....pink power has taken over. Lily's first year playing soccer. |
| When she wasn't jumping or twirling, she was hiding behind the coach. The first practice was a little scary for Lily. She came home and told me she hated soccer and wanted to quit. I found out she was scared of getting hit with the ball. We worked through it.... |
| Day #2 of soccer practice got a "two thumbs up" from Lily! |
| 500 children received free, brand new sneakers, back packs and school supplies. Click on this picture to enlarge it....such beautiful faces! |
| 1000 volunteers from Redemption gave 5 hours to Serve Our City Day. Bringing Jesus to our community. The church without walls. |
| The power of touch and of serving. These kids felt the love of Jesus this day. |
When you meet a physical need, a door opens that allows the spiritual to be touched as well. We were praying for this single Mom for strength, protection for her family, and met needs.
