God Will Make a Way

Today, at Operation Go in Hunter's park it was game day! It was Luis and my first time running the truck from start to finish...which means we were up on the platform leading the games and activities for the kids and parents at the apartments with the rest of our teammates helping to keep everything rolling on the ground. Here are some photos of the day.

We also had a surprise from Zaxby's, and local restaurant, that provided 300 free lunches to all the kids in our program today.

But the thing that touched my heart the most what something that happened when we were packing up and getting read to head home. Pastor Tanya, our truck leader, pointed out a man to Luis that we had met before. He was sitting at one of the picnic tables a little ways off from where we were. Luis had come in contact with this man before. His name is Juan, and he is deaf and mute. Wanting to reach out to this man, but not knowing exactly how, Luis grabbed a pen and a piece of scrap paper and started writing in Spanish. Luis quickly found out that Juan could read Spanish. So their conversation began.

During the time they communicated, Luis was able to lead Juan to Jesus!! It wasn't a coincidence that this week wasn't supposed to be Luis' week at Operation Go, yet he was there. It didn't matter that Juan couldn't speak or hear, God still was able to open his heart and receive the biggest miracle of all, that salvation of his soul. It reminded me that nothing is too difficult for God and to always remember that He will make a way where there seems to be no way!! We serve a BIG GOD!
